∴ Our 4 day adventure begins in Marrakech to discover its ancient charm while strolling through the old, world-famous souks of the Medina, meeting local artisans and their unique arts & crafts.
∴ Our journey starts with a scenic drive through The High Atlas Mountains, reaching Tizi n’ Tichka pass, the highest point accessible by car.
∴ The first part of our exploration takes us through the Amazigh villages tucked in the mountains, lush valleys filled with rose fields, and ancient historic kasbahs listed on UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore local villages, stop at roadside markets, and indulge in the ever-changing surroundings as we drive towards southeast Morocco where the landscape changes dramatically to rocky deserts and canyons filled with lush oases.
∴ Our off-the-beaten-path adventure takes us to various local spots hidden between canyons and stony deserts. For a truly authentic experience, we will be sharing accommodation with a local Amazigh family in a traditional earth clay house built at the feet of the mountain.
∴ During your stay in the Anti Atlas Mountains, you will have a unique opportunity to fully engage in local daily activities from cooking traditional meals & weaving carpets to farming fields, and olive picking. We will be sharing traditional homemade meals with local residents & nomads living deep in the mountains, sipping mint tea under the starry skies, and sharing our stories.
∴ Our journey takes us to local women’s cooperatives, local organizations, schools, and markets, for a real exploration of the local culture. This unique journey lets us explore Morocco like locals, live through their ancient traditions, and truly connect with the essence of Morocco.
