Our tour gives you a unique chance to experience the culture and warm hospitality of the Atlas Mountain native residents – The Imazighen communities. Guided by a local Amazigh lady, hike through the mountains and villages, visit a local women’s carpet cooperative and shop at local markets with the most unique handmade textiles. Discover local communities’ daily lives deep within the mountains, share a glass of traditional tea, and enjoy a locally made dinner with the Amazigh family as you immerse yourself in the astonishing High Atlas Mountain landscape.

What's it like?
∴ Your journey starts at 9 am with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech.
∴ Immerse yourself in the charming surroundings as you drive south of Marrakech, through the majestic scenery of the Atlas Mountains. Your first stop takes you to the local women’s cooperative where you witness the old way of extracting argan oil. There you can try locally made argan products from Amlou – traditional argan paste to a wide range of beauty products made entirely by local women at the cooperative.
∴ Arriving at the village deep in the Atlas Mountains the local Amazigh lady invites you to enjoy a glass of traditional mint tea and homemade bread before a mild trek through the hills (we advise wearing comfortable shoes).
∴ After the hike, a locally made lunch is prepared in the village where you’ll be joined by the local family and share a meal together.
∴ Your tour then continues to the local women’s carpet cooperative where you’ll have a chance to learn the ancient way of carpet weaving and browse through the abundance of textiles and carpets. Our guide will also take you to the village and introduce you to local artisan & craftsmen, and their wide range of handmade products so you can directly support the communities deep within the mountains.
∴ At the end of your exploration, enjoy a glass of traditional tea in the spectacular surroundings of the High Atlas Mountains.
