The Sahara Desert region in Morocco is one of the world’s best places to admire the night sky. With exceptional visibility, far away from the glow of city lights, the desert skies offer a dazzling display of shooting stars, hundreds of constellations, and the Milky Way in all its glory. Our stargazing session in the company of a local expert astronomer and professional equipment offers the ultimate experience of looking into the glittering cosmos as well as discovering the history of ancient astronomy, the Amazigh mythology, and beliefs.

What's it like?
we will pick you up from your accommodation and head towards your desert camp, where you will have a chance to go for a camel ride to enjoy the magical sunset and ride back to the camp.
have a break until dinner time, once well fed, our adventure starts with a presentation about the North African nomadic tribs and astronomy, our mythological stories, and beliefs related to stars and the night skies.
Then we will walk a few meters away from our camp and start our naked-eye sky reading before we get the chance to observe the sky using our high-quality 200mm binoculars and telescope with the assistance of our professional astronomer who will answer any question raised during the session.
after the session there will be an optional discussion around the fire camp, before bedtime, the next morning you will be dropped off at your accommodation after a delightful breakfast at the camp.
