∴ Begin your tour walking inside Marrakech Medina souks and labyrinth-like hidden alleyways. Experience firsthand how Moroccans start their day. The local bakery will be our first stop for a chance to see the traditional way of bread making. Enjoy a glass of mint tea and bread with olive oil – a very popular and delicious Moroccan breakfast.
∴ Follow the smell of exotic flavours through mesmerizing markets, stop to try different types of olives and awaken your senses with the aroma of spices – many of which have originally been brought to Morocco through ancient caravan routes.
∴ The next step of our culinary tour will take us to a local hidden spot where traditional Moroccan Tanjia is made. Tanjia is a meat stew slowly cooked in a clay pot filled with olive oil, herbs, spices, and preserved fruits.
∴ A local family-owned restaurant will be our next stop. Try traditional Moroccan spiced tomato soup Harira, an assortment of vegetables, salads, and locally made couscous.
